Casall RapidDry®

Quality:

Casall RapiDry® is an exclusive high-tech fabric developed by Casall and manufactured in an advanced well-sealed system in France with high environmental standards, causing less pollution and making it gentler on the environment than many other fibres.

WHAT: The composition of Rapidry® is 91% Polyamide and 9% Elastane. This is a highly advanced technical fabric with a soft and natural feel. With its unique characteristics, Rapidry® improves absorption and evaporation. The fabric is treated with a special hydrophilic finish, which absorbs the perspiration from the body very fast, allows transport of moisture to the garment surface and spreads the moisture out on a bigger surface allowing it to evaporate and dry much quicker.

WHY: During active sports it is important for people to stay cool. Regular clothes can create an obstacle in this case as they act as a barrier to evaporation, causing vapour to condense between the skin and the garment. Trapped perspiration results in discomfort, leaving you feeling too hot during exercise or too cold immediately after exercise. In addition the stretch and recovery characteristics give the greatest freedom of movement.

WHEN: Its quick absorption and evaporation properties make it excellent for active sports that generate a lot of perspiration such as running.

Casall Sensitive®

Quality:

  • 745: 71% Polyamide, 29% Elastane (185gr/m2)
  • 760: 72% Polyamide, 28% Elastane (164gr/m2)

Casall Sensitive® is a patented high-tech Italian fabric of the highest quality, manufactured with the highest environmental standards and produced in a well-sealed system using 100% renewable energy. The manufacturing process uses 25% less energy than other similar fabrics.

An elegant, flat surface and specially blended fibres provide a smoother feel and enhance the beauty and style of the garments in this fabric. Maximum breathability allows for fast moisture absorption and evaporation to keep you dry and fresh. Special four-way stretch capacity allows freedom of movement while maintaining support and optimal muscular compression. Reduced thickness by half compared with similar performance fabrics to provide extra softness and lightness. Excellent shape and colour retention wash after wash. Non-pilling performance fabric maintains its appearance over time.

WHAT: This is an excellent quality for all types of activites. With a combination of 72% Polyamide and 28% Elastane and a special patented structure that reduces the thickness by half, this fabric gives optimum freedom of movement.

WHY: The structure of the fabric allows maximum air permeability; it absorbs the moisture quickly and allows the fabric to dry fast, ensuring temperature control in any situation. The presence of the Polyamide in the Sensitive® fabric aids the absorption and eventual evaporation of body moisture. The fabric has an excellent shape retention which means that the garments will keep their shape and fit wash after wash.

WHEN: The Sensitive® fabric is perfect for high performance activities due to optimal muscular compression during dynamic movement. The four-way stretch capacity guarantees support and complete freedom of movement giving you a great feeling of comfort while keeping you dry.

Casall Comfort Blend

Quality: 725: 48% Cotton, 48% Modal, 4% Elastane (210gr/m2)

Casall Comfortable Blend is a unique blend of cotton, modal and Elastane. This fabric is manufactured with high environmental standards and both cotton and Modal are made from 100% renewable raw material. Chemicals used and secondary products which result from the production process are sold as valuable substances.

Extremely soft, with nice and smooth feel. This fabric absorbs moisture much faster than regular cotton and its elastane content allows freedom of movement. It maintains its softness and colours stay clear and bright wash after wash. Made with natural fibres.

WHAT: Modal is a fibre made from cellulose and is 100% natural.

WHY: Casall Comfortable Blend absorbs moisture well and is pleasant to wear because of its softness and high dimensional stability. Cotton and Modal are an excellent compliment to each other since the properties of the Cotton and Modal fibres are very similar and they have the same dying effect. Modal also improves yarn regularity and helps to attain better fabric surface and colour-fastness. The fabric remains soft even after repeated washing.

WHEN: The Comfortable Blend is perfect for low intensity activities such as yoga, pilates and lounging around because of its softness and comfort.

Casall RapiTech® 

Quality

  • 724: 85% Polyamide, 15% Elastane (175 gr/m2)
  • 744: 84% Polyamide, 16% Elastane (215gr/m2)

Casall RapiTech® lite is a light, soft and highly lustrous polyamide fabric with high Elastane content.

 

It has a soft quality with a shiny surface and excellent moisture management properties that guarantee to keep you nice and dry. Casall Rapitech is crease resistant, shrink resistant and has shape-memory. It maintains its colour wash after wash and the stretchy fabric allows for maximum freedom of movement.

 

WHAT: Polyamide is often called Nylon, a trade name. The polyamide fibres have good abrasion resistance, absorb little moisture and have good crease-resistance and stability of shape.

WHY: It is quick drying, very soft and stretchy to allow freedom of movement.

WHEN: Great for any activity that requires good moisture management and comfort.

Casall Alaska

Quality: 455: 57% Polyamide, 23% Polyester, 20% Elastane (200gr/m2) 

The Italian made Alaska quality is a highly technical fabric that we have chosen to use for our high performance running set for women.

 

This fabric enhances your skin's ability to breathe, with soft quality and nice lustre. It transports moisture well and keeps you nice and dry. It is crease-resistant, shrink resistant and maintains its shape and colour wash after wash. A stretchable fabric that allows maximum freedom of movement.

 

WHAT: Alaska is a highly technical quality with polyamide on the outside of the fabric and polyester on the inside against the skin, to aid the evaporation of moisture.

WHY: Polyester yarn has a low hygroscopicity, meaning that it absorbs little water, whereas polyamide yarn has a hygroscopicity that is three times higher. Therefore the difference in hygroscopicity between the two fibres enhances moisture transport to the outside of the fabric where it quickly evaporates. Alaska is made with hollow fibres which gives it its lightness. With equal thickness, the fabric weighs 25-30% less than standard fabric does. It is also thermo-insulating due to hollow fibre technology. This fabric gives maximum comfort and freedom of movement because of its light weight. It also is high performance, easy to care for and very durable.

WHEN: Even during very rigorous sport activities your body stays dry and comfortable due to the fabric's high breathability. It is ideal for colder weather and outdoor activities.

Casall SoftTech

Casall SoftTech is a soft and flexible fabric with excellent moisture management properties. The fabric has a cool, feminine touch with a lustrous surface and maintains a comfortable body climate during and after workouts.

Casall ShapeTech gives your body shape and support. It has an exclusive feel, a high Elastane content and offers stability and excellent moisture management. This fabric is produced in France

WHAT: This is a very soft and shaping polyamide fabric, produced in France in an advanced, well-sealed system with very high environmental standards.

WHY: It is soft and shaping and gives your body great support.

WHEN: Great for high performance activities due to optimal muscular compression during dynamic movement.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT FUNCTIONAL FABRICS

When we exercise the body burns large amounts of energy. This energy turns to heat and in order for the body not to overheat the temperature must be regulated. The body solves this through sweating. What cools us is not actually the perspiration itself but when it evaporates.

Moisture conducts heat 23 times faster than air and therefore cools the body as soon as the skin has a thin layer of perspiration which can evaporate. Clothing can help in this process. The cooling of the body is important for performance, if we become too hot our ability to perform can be reduced.

Functional fabrics transport perspiration away from the skin and breathability is one of the determining factors in the comfort level of garments. The function of these fabrics depends upon nature's desire for balance. The perspiration that the body produces during physical activity is evaporated by the body's heat. Vapour always strives for a more dry or cold climate, generally out through the fabric.

Active wear clothing should dry quickly, smell as little as possible and maintain their shape after many washes, something that synthetic fabrics can do. Synthetic fabrics bind moisture between the fibres and not inside as natural materials do and at the same time they stretch in all directions.
